Payment Policy
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Chérie Mag currently processes online payments through PayPal and HitPay.
Depending on your location, currency, device, and the options made available by the relevant payment provider, you may be able to pay using:
- PayPal;
- Credit or debit cards processed through PayPal or HitPay;
- Other local or alternative payment methods offered through HitPay and displayed during checkout.
Only the payment methods shown as available to you at checkout are accepted for your order. Certain payment methods may not be available in every country, currency, or transaction.
PayPal and HitPay may independently approve, decline, review, delay, or restrict a transaction in accordance with their own security procedures and terms of service. The appearance of a payment option at checkout does not guarantee that the provider will approve the payment.
We reserve the right to add, remove, suspend, or change the payment methods available through our store where reasonably necessary.
2. Currency and Pricing
Product prices will be displayed in the currency selected or shown on our website during checkout.
Your card issuer, bank, PayPal, HitPay, digital wallet provider, or other payment provider may process the transaction in another currency.
Where currency conversion is required, the payment provider may apply its own:
- Currency conversion rate;
- Foreign transaction fee;
- International payment fee;
- Cross-border transaction fee; or
- Other banking or processing charge.
These charges are determined and collected by the relevant financial institution or payment provider, not by Chérie Mag.
We are not responsible for differences caused by exchange-rate fluctuations, currency-conversion rates, or third-party fees.
The final amount charged by your bank or payment provider may therefore differ slightly from the amount displayed on our website.
In accordance with Vietnamese law, prices displayed on this website are inclusive of all applicable fees. Any taxes or duties applicable to your order in your country of residence are your responsibility as the buyer.
3. When Payment is Collected
Payment is collected in full at the time your order is placed. Chérie Mag does not offer installment plans, deferred payment, or credit arrangements of any kind. Your order is not confirmed until full payment has been successfully processed.
4. Order Confirmation
Upon successful payment, you will receive an automated order confirmation email to the address provided at checkout. This confirmation constitutes your electronic transaction record in accordance with the Law on Electronic Transactions 2023. Please retain this email as proof of purchase. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours of placing your order, please check your spam folder before contacting us.
5. Taxes, Customs Duties, and Import Charges
Any taxes that Chérie Mag is required to collect will be included in the displayed price or calculated and shown during checkout, where applicable.
For international orders containing physical products, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, handling fees, customs-clearance charges, and other destination-country fees may be charged after the order is placed.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
Customs and import charges are not controlled or collected by Chérie Mag unless they are expressly included in the amount paid during checkout.
Refusing to pay applicable customs charges may result in the shipment being delayed, returned, abandoned, or destroyed.
Any refund relating to a refused international shipment will be handled in accordance with our Refund and Return Policy and Shipping Policy.
5. Payment Security
All payments are processed through third-party payment providers — PayPal and HitPay — and are subject to their respective security standards and terms of service. Chérie Mag does not store, access, or process your card or banking details directly. Both payment providers operate under internationally recognised security protocols. We encourage you to review their privacy and security policies before transacting.
6. Failed or Declined Transactions
PayPal, HitPay, your bank, your card issuer, or another payment provider may decline, delay, cancel, or place a payment under review for reasons including:
- Incorrect payment or billing information;
- Insufficient funds;
- Expired payment details;
- Card or transaction limits;
- International-payment restrictions;
- Identity or security verification requirements;
- Fraud-prevention checks;
- Restrictions placed on the payment account;
- Unsupported currencies or locations; or
- Technical, connection, or network issues.
If a payment is unsuccessful, cancelled, or remains unconfirmed:
- Your order may not be confirmed;
- Your order may remain marked as pending;
- We may ask you to try another available payment method; or
- We may cancel the order if payment is not received within a reasonable period.
Chérie Mag may not receive the specific reason why PayPal, HitPay, your bank, or your card issuer declined or delayed a transaction.
You may need to contact the relevant provider directly for further information.
Please do not repeatedly submit the same payment if you are unsure whether your first attempt was successful. Check your payment account, email confirmation, and order status before trying again.
7. Duplicate or Unrecognized Charges
A pending authorization and a completed transaction may temporarily appear as two separate entries on your account.
One of these entries may disappear automatically after PayPal, HitPay, your bank, or your card issuer releases the authorization hold.
If you believe you have been charged more than once, please contact us and provide:
- Your full name;
- Your order number;
- The email address used during checkout;
- The date of payment;
- The amount charged;
- The payment provider used; and
- A screenshot showing the transactions, with sensitive card or banking information concealed.
If you do not recognize a charge from Chérie Mag, please contact us promptly and notify PayPal, HitPay, your bank, or your card issuer.
Do not send us your complete card number, card security code, online-banking password, PayPal password, or one-time verification code.
8. Fraudulent Transactions
Chérie Mag reserves the right to cancel any order where fraudulent activity is suspected, without prior notice. In such cases, any payment received will be refunded to the original payment method. We may cooperate with relevant authorities in accordance with Vietnamese law should fraudulent activity be identified.
9. Disputes and Chargebacks
In the event of a payment dispute, we ask that you contact us at support@cheriemag.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving payment issues fairly and in a timely manner, consistent with our obligations under the Law on Protection of Consumer Rights 2023. Should a dispute remain unresolved, you may seek assistance from the Vietnam Competition and Consumer Authority (VCCA) or relevant authorities in your country of residence.
